Posted January 08, 2018 08:37:51 If you are licensed to practice nursing and have recently completed your RN license, you will need to complete a Nursing Scholarship Application.
The application will include the name, address, and social security number of the applicant.
Applicants who meet these criteria will be able to apply for the Nursing Scholarship in their state.
If you do not meet the criteria, you may still be eligible for a Nursing scholarship through an alternate pathway.
The Nursing Scholarship is awarded in three stages.
First, the applicant must meet the following criteria: 1) The applicant must be a registered nurse or an RN who has successfully completed three months of nursing school, or who has completed the required pre-professional nursing course and has passed the nursing examination, or have passed a minimum of eight nursing examinations in their area.
2) The applicants social security and residency information must be current and accurate.
3) The Nursing scholarship must be approved by the nursing faculty of a registered nursing institution in the state in which the applicant has graduated.
The applicant’s application fee must be paid to the Nursing scholarship.
Nursing scholarships are offered by the following entities: The National Council on Nursing Education, The Association of American Colleges and Schools, the Association of School Administrators, the American Nurses Association, and the American Board of Nursing.
The National Nurses Assn., American College of Nurse Practitioners, American Board for Nurse Practical Specialists, and American Association of Colleges of Nursing all award the Nursing Scholarships.
The nursing scholarship is awarded annually.
Applicant names and addresses can be provided in the application.
The deadline for applications is January 8, 2019.
Nursing Scholarship for Non-RNs – Application deadline for nursing scholarship applicants is January 08.

The total cost for the scholarship is $25.00.

Nursing Scholars for Individuals and Families: If you have an individual or family member who is seeking a nursing scholarship, please visit nursingscholarforindividuals.org and submit your application and financial information.
If your family member does not qualify for a nursing fellowship, you can apply for a non-federal nursing fellowship through an alternative route.
Nursing Fellowship: If your state does not have a nursing college, please contact the American College for Clinical Specialists to determine which nursing college(s) in your state is offering a nursing degree.
This is a nonprofessional, non-accredited program designed to provide students with training in nursing and allied health.
Applicances for nursing fellowships can be made online at nursingfellows.org or by calling the American Council on Graduate Nursing (ACGN).
The application fee is $10.00, plus a $20.00 nonrefundable application fee.

The fee for the non-fee nursing fellowship is $35.00 per year.
If the student does not meet a nursing requirement, they will not receive a fellowship.
This fee will be waived for those who are enrolled in a nursing program.
The fellowship may be available for those graduating from a nursing school with an approved degree.

This program is administered by the American Medical Association.
If applying for a fellowship, the candidate must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program in the United States and a resident of the state of their choice.
Applications for non-residents may be made at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAS), or you can contact them directly for more information.
Medical College Admissions: If the applicant meets all of the above criteria, the medical school admission officer will accept their application for a medical degree.
Applicance for medical fellowships may be done through the American Academy of Medical Education (AAME).
