The total annual pay for all registered nurses working in New Jersey is $160,400, which includes health care benefits.

According to a January report by the American Medical Association, New Jersey nurses earned the second-highest average hourly wage in the nation in 2016 at $10.27.

The median salary for nurse practitioners in New York state was $86,000 in 2016.
